Fundamental Analysis

The two primary approaches of analyzing currency markets are technical and fundamental analysis.

Fundamentals focus on financial and economical theories, as well as political developments to determine forces of supply and demand. Its analysis comprises the examination of macro economic indicators.

Macro economic indicators include figures such as growth rates, which are measured by Gross Domestic Product, interest rates, inflation, unemployment and productivity.

Currency interventions are conducted by central banks and usually have a notable and immediate impact on Forex markets.

A central bank could undertake purchases and or sales of its currency against another currency alone. Also it can engage in a concerted intervention in collaboration with other central banks for a more pronounced effect.
